One proven method is called The "Independent" or "skilled workers" category (VISA) and it is subject to a point system. To be eligible for a permanent residence status the applicant must achieve a minimum of 67 points as of now (DEC 2009). Points are awarded in the following areas: Age, Education, Languages, Occupation, Years of Experience, Family in Canada, and adaptability factors .
There are several other points that are checked as well and Protech makes sure they are in place for their clients. The Government of Canada publishes a list of specific occupations which have been graded and have determined occupations which are admissible. In order to apply for the "independent" or "skilled worker" category, you must be described in one of these occupations.
These occupations also have specific educational and experience requirements which are described in the National Occupations Classification Manual. Contact Protech Immigration to find how Protech can help with your immigration needs coming and immigrating from United States to Canada.
